This is where connection-based care makes such a difference! Communication is 70% nonverbal; so why are we so focussed on words? Here, we use ASL full time, which not only involves sign, but attention to body language and facial expression. It has been a powerful tool for my buddies to improve their communication skills. "Talking to the (deaf) dogs" is awesome practice, since they don't judge. The moment the dog listens because a friend got it right is very cool to watch!

This is the advice that was given to me by a good old friend, I have always thought homeschooling our kids, school on the road while travelling was and is the best for them. This term however I send my 7 year old to year 1 only because he asked to see what it’s like, we start travelling again soon and it’s back to homeschooling, which he said he can’t wait ☺️ I have continued homeschooling for my other 2 boys at 1 day a week the rest it’s outdoor play. I don’t think a child should sit at a desk for 7 hours 5 days a week.
