Took a bit of time off to get out for a quick walk with the dogz at Colony Farm. Got a couple of shots of two of the more elusive birds that I'm always on the lookout for; an American Bittern, and a Belted Kingfisher that I'm pretty sure gave me "The Bird"

Still finding that shooting birds while taking the dogz for their daily walk is a great way to multi-task. Amazing the kinds of things you find when you slow down and pay more attention to what is around you.

A couple of shots from this morning's walk with the dogs; a lazuli bunting, an eastern kingbird, a chubby little song sparrow, and a turkey vulture spinning lazily through the morning thermals looking for field rabbit. The lazuli bunting and the vulture aren't the best but I at least now know where to look for them and get better pics.
