Pearl Ellis Gallery

The Pearl Ellis Gallery presents Through Her Eyes, on display July 21 to August 15. An Opening Reception will be held Saturday, July 25, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Featuring the work of Judy Johnston, Fernanda Gimenez, Iris Schurz, Wink Richardson, Cindy Powell, Laura Tait, and Lin Auerbach.

Through Her Eyes invites you to explore the rich and diverse perspectives of seven talented women photographers. United by an overarching theme, each artist presents her unique lens, revealing how individual experiences, emotions, and insights shape the way we see the world. This exhibit celebrates the multifaceted nature of perception, showing that even a single theme can be interpreted in countless ways when viewed through different female perspectives. Journey through this compelling visual dialogue and witness how personal vision transforms the ordinary into extraordinary narratives.

The Pearl is located at 1729 Comox Avenue, across from the Comox Mall. Admission is always free, the gallery is wheelchair accessible, and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Congratulations to Graye Szilvassy, recipient of the 2026 Pearl Ellis Gallery Bursary! This fall, Graye will be attending Concordia University in Montreal to study Studio Arts. An accomplished young artist, she has exhibited locally, created public murals, volunteered in the community, and is passionate about using art to help people feel seen and understood.
We are honoured to support Graye as she continues her artistic education and wish her all the best in this exciting new chapter.
