Another Paddle Canada Level 2 Sea Kayaking Skills course is starting on August 6th for 7 days of wilderness adventure. The Level 2 course is normally taught in 5 days, we have extended this time so that you can enjoy your trip and learn the skills for Level 2 waters. Just a few of the subject/skills that you will learn: Paddle strokes, rescues (self & assisted), how to read a marine chart, determine the future weather in your area, navigation, kayaking in dynamic waters and tarpology. The laminated strips of yellow cedar greatly enhances the durability of the paddle as red cedar by itself is very brittle. The yellow cedar adds a few ounces of weight to the paddle but you will be able to roll logs on the beach with your paddles to keep the camp fire going.
