I love working with dedicated pet parents. When owners follow through like this, everything changes. Iâm so proud of this client â now they can get back to enjoying everyday life with their dog again.
Itâs heartbreaking when dogs are attacked by untrained dogs off leash. A safe dog community only works when we all do our part. If your dog is reactive, leash them. If thereâs a bite risk, use a muzzle. Off leash freedom should only come with reliable recall.
Responsible training protects your dog and everyone elseâs.
If you want help building real world control, and safe reliability, I can help book a free consultation.

Many dogs struggle with leash greetings â pulling, lunging, vocalizing, or losing focus â even if theyâve spent lots of time in dog daycare.
Thatâs because daycare doesnât actually teach dogs how to greet politely on leash. Most dogs learn to rush in, ignore their handler, and rely on other dogs to regulate the interaction. Those skills donât translate well to real-world walks.
In my training programs, I teach dogs and their owners how to properly give a clear âGo Say Hiâ cue â a permission-based greeting that builds calm, controlled social skills.
This approach helps dogs learn:
⢠how to approach politely
⢠how to wait for permission
⢠how to disengage without frustration
⢠how to stay connected to their handler
Proper socialization isnât about unlimited access â itâs about structure, clarity, and choice.
If you want calmer walks and better real-world behavior, this is where it starts.

Struggling with a reactive dog on walks? Feeling stressed or overwhelmed by pulling, lunging, or barking on leash?
I help Comox Valley dog owners reduce leash reactivity and pulling using a balanced training approach focused on clear communication and good behavior that holds up in real life, not just in training.
Prong collars are one of several tools I may use to improve leash manners and help dogs stay calmer and more responsive on walks. Theyâre not a one-size-fits-all solution and are used thoughtfully for each dog and handler.
If walking your dog feels stressful instead of enjoyable, youâre not alone â and it can get better with the right guidance. Contact me today for a free phone or in person consultation to get you and your dog back to enjoying walks together!
