Twelve jars done! A new brine recipe and some new ingredients, added dried kelp!
Hubby found a Japanese spicy pickle recipe, so I copied most of the recipe...LOL.
When it comes to pickling, you can't mess around with the actual brine, but as for other ingredients, mix it up and have fun!

What are you doing today? Bet it's not hosting a tea/breakfast party for 4 special girls!
Even better with bone china tea cups, dinner plates and serving bowls ❤️

It's an eclectic mix, but that's what I like about it! Each piece is beautiful in its own unique way. Just like the girls here!

This is one of the last pictures of my Dad and I, taken in 2020, during the lockdown and just a few weeks before he died.

This was the only way he could see me and hear my voice. Our calls were to few and not nearly long enough.

He never understood why I couldn't come and see him and no matter how many times I explained to him that I wasn't ignoring him and told him I was forbidden to see him, he always said, "why aren't you coming to see me" and it broke my heart.

Prior to the lockdown my Dad walked with a walker and he enjoyed being outside in the garden.

After the lockdown, his legs were the size of my forearms, months of being in a wheelchair or bed. You have heard the expression "if you don't use them, you lose them".
Trying to get up out of that wheelchair had him falling and splitting his head open, taken to hospital and the next day my Dad died.

I was allowed to see him then, thanks.

The people who did this want Pandemic Amnesty. They want us to forgive and forget.
