8mm and Super 8! Which is which?

Super 8mm Film (top), the perforations are small;
8mm Film (bottom) the perforations are big.

It's not always easy to tell them apart but the difference can be seen below. This is also visible to the operator of a film projector at first sight before they see the footage. Both types come in 50' reels (small) and 100' reels (big)

'Wolverine' Movie Maker Pro'

This new machine called the Wolverine Movie Maker Pro is just one of two versions. It works similar to the old traditional stylized 8mm and super8 projectors by the way of threading the film but its quite different for the fact that it scans old film reels and digitizes them one frame at a time. It is a lot slower than a regular film projector but the only big difference is the picture quality is more clearer because it scans an output at 1080p giving you the best resolution possible. The machine is also very quiet. With a little patience in mind, you can scan up to 9" reels that will bring your old movies back to life and watch it all without missing a single detail.
