The much awaited occupation based draws for Express entry have finally started! The first draw invited 500 skilled applicants under 35 healthcare occupations. The draw featured a minimum comprehensive ranking system score of 476. The second draw will take place on 5th July'23, where 1500 more invitations will be issued to healthcare candidates. IRCC has recently updated the proof of fund numbers (as shown above) and there is a significant increase as compared to the previous year. The candidates are required to update the settlement fund amount in their Express Entry profile in order to stay eligible under the express entry pool. Ontario is making every effort to overcome labour shortages and promote economic growth. In this year's budget, Ontario has announced that they will be investing an additional $25 million over the next years, on top of the $15 million that was announced in the budget of 2022. According to Ontario’s 2023 Budget, the government is also investing $75 million into the Skills Development Fund which will help foreign workers and job seekers get the necessary skills to advance their careers.
