Hi everyone! My name is Amber Humby (amberhumbymusic.com). I’m a Carleton Place based singer, musician, and songwriter, entering third year of a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance at Wilfrid Laurier University.

I currently have limited spots for 1-on-1 music lessons in the Carleton Place community, with a focus on voice lessons and self-accompaniment.

Lessons are available in-person (operating out of 18 Mill St) or virtual and are tailored to each student’s goals. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build confidence, we can work on:

* Exploring and develop your natural voice and tone
* Creating a toolbox of technical voice strategies
* Playing with style and becoming a more versatile singer
* Growing in confidence both as a performer and person
* Expanding your vocal range
* Making singing feel easier and more enjoyable
* Developing understanding about vocal health practices

Pricing:
* $40 per hour
Summer Package (May–August):
* 10 lessons for $360 (save $40)
* flexible scheduling throughout the summer
* great for building consistency and seeing real progress

MY QUALIFICATIONS:
* Studying music at the university level
* Performed over 100 shows in the Ottawa area
* Strong background in ear training, theory, and performance
* Experience performing in concerts, ensembles, and live settings
* Singer-songwriter with a focus on musical theatre, country, pop, indie, rock, and folk styles
* Passionate about making music feel accessible and enjoyable

OTTAWA VALLEY SHOW TOMORROW✨

I am so excited to share that I’ll be playing my final show of 2025 Mount Pakenham tomorrow (December 27th) from 5:30pm- 8:30pm.

I grew up skiing at Mount Pakenham and have always adored the cozy vibes in their lounge. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces!!
