We are one week into June, and here is how the market performed in May. While the average price of resale homes went up 8%, we are seeing less purchases, as sales of resale homes went down 21% YTD. "Overall, in May, however, there were 3,120 properties that entered the market. This is on par with last May and is 5% over the 5-year average. The result is an 18% increase in residential-class inventory." States OREB President Penny Torontow. More inventory = more options for buyers, and that is a good thing.
