Meet another one of our incredible team members: Jonas 🔨

Jonas has been with HSS for just under a year and has already become an instrumental part of our team. A fully licensed carpenter from Germany, he brings a keen eye for detail, strong craftsmanship, and a real passion for sustainability to every project he works on.

Over the past months, Jonas has supported a wide range of projects and has led the team on our CLT project in Springbank, which is now nearing completion — an exciting milestone for everyone involved.

When he’s not on site, you’ll likely find him camping, off-roading, skiing, or fly fishing 🎣

We couldn’t feel luckier to have Jonas on the HSS team.

📊 For anyone interested in seeing real data from our research, we are sharing results collected from our first completed PEER retrofit project.

This data shows significant improvements in energy use based on the PEER (Prefabricated Exterior Energy Retrofit) approach. It is important to note that air sealing of the crawl space was not part of the work completed here and will be addressed by the owner. Once these components are completed, we expect further reductions in air leakage and additional performance improvements 🌡️🔥❄️
