Strathcona Community Health Network

Last week the Health Network co-hosted a visit from United Way BC - Central & Northern Vancouver Island Region to check out some of the Food Security Initiatives happening in Campbell River and Sayward. On Monday we visited Greenways Land Trust food forests and community gardens, toured the Campbell River Food Bank and served a meal at the Hem'?aelas Community Kitchen, alongside the Strathcona Community Food Hub coordinator, Elise Boulanger. On Tuesday we journeyed to the village of Sayward and visited the founders of the Sayward Community Food Table Society. Thank you to everyone who made the tour possible!
