We are so happy and proud to announce that West Galt Cambridge Block Parent, Elyse Bouwmeester, will be taking over the Leadership of the Waterloo Regional Block Parent Program as Chair Person!

Elyse Bouwmeester has been an active member of the Block Parent Program for the past two years and will be joining the Board of Directors as of April 16, 2026. As a Realtor in the Waterloo Region, Elyse is passionate about supporting and strengthening her local community through connection and engagement. Her love for bringing people together has led to the planning of numerous community events across Cambridge, creating spaces where families can connect and feel supported. Elyse’s commitment to the Block Parent Program is rooted in her desire to help create safer neighbourhoods for children and families, and she continues to advocate for more families to get involved in building a safe and connected community.

Natalie and Tara, from Block Parents, were honoured to receive a much-needed and appreciated donation from Rotary Cambridge Sunset. This amazing donation will go towards continuing to build Safe Communities in Cambridge, and the Region of Waterloo.
