Craig DiLouie is a renowned author well-known in horror spaces for SUFFER THE CHILDREN, EPISODE THIRTEEN, THE CHILDREN OF RED PEAK, and other works. His storytelling range is evident in how he writes new riffs from popular horror tropes like hauntings, vampires, cults, and more.

His new book, THE SUMMER FUN MASSACRE, will be hitting shelves on June 16. This reimagined slasher is the first of the Slasher Season duology, with the second instalment set to release later this year.

Julie will be hanging out at our storefront on Saturday, June 20 from 12 to 3 PM. Come say hi, bring your books (or purchase a book or two) for her to sign, and chat with her about all things horror and metal.

More about the author:

Julie Hiner spent her childhood lost in the pages of books. The only thing that took precedence was her Walkman. She is still an 80s rocker.

She has lived her entire life in Calgary, AB. She loves the mountains. Her first writing project was a work of non-fiction about facing fear and anxiety by cycling up famous European mountains. These days, she loves to put on her boots and pack and hike up to a peak.

Julie writes psychological suspense, crime, and horror infused with heavy metal and rock. She has published an 80s/90s serial killer vs detective series, three horror novellas, and co-curated a horror anthology. She has had several short stories published, and her deep-sea horror novella was published by Torrid Waters of Crystal Lake Publishing. Julie collaborates with local musicians to create custom soundtracks for her books. Her creations have continued to gravitate to the more extreme, and her latest creation, Stella’s Scream, is a heavy metal splatterpunk novella.
