Premier Danielle Smith is pushing toward a 2026 referendum that touches on constitutional and immigration issues.

But here’s the problem:

Immigration is a federal responsibility, not provincial.

So why is the Alberta government stepping into federal jurisdiction?

Critics are raising serious concerns:

• Is this about solving real problems or creating political division?
• Will this fuel separatist sentiment across the province?
• What impact will this have on jobs, investment, and economic stability?

At a time when Albertans need:

✔️ Strong healthcare
✔️ Stable education
✔️ Economic certainty

We’re being pulled into constitutional fights and jurisdictional conflicts.

This isn’t leadership.
This is distraction.

Canada works because provinces and the federal government respect their roles.

Blurring those lines creates uncertainty, for businesses, families, and the future of this country.

Alberta is strongest within Canada.
And Canada is not for sale.
