Exciting update!

After many requests, we’ve opened up individual registration for our outdoor tournament!

Come join us August 8th and 9th

Don’t have a team? Come anyway. Register as an individual and we’ll place you on a built team so you can be part of the action. If you’ve already got a team, full team registrations are still welcome too.

Because ball hockey is about more than the teams you come with. It’s about meeting new teammates, building friendships, supporting each other, and making memories that last long after the tournament ends.

What an incredible weekend for our Mavericks athletes!

Last year, just over 30 Mavericks helped four Fury teams reach the podium at Provincials. This year, that number grew to just over 50 Mavericks across five medal-winning teams. Watching that growth has been just as exciting as the results because it reflects the hard work these athletes put in every day and the continued growth of their skills and confidence.

Player development is about so much more than winning. It’s about building strong fundamentals, hockey IQ, confidence, and a love for the game. As our athletes continue to grow, so do the opportunities available to them. Seeing more Mavericks earn spots on competitive teams and make meaningful contributions is something we’re incredibly proud of.

UNITED WORLD GAMES RECAP 🇨🇦

What an incredible experience for our BHPE Mavericks athletes and their Team Canada teammates at the United World Games in Austria!

The U13 and U15 teams brought home silver medals, while the U11 team battled hard all tournament and came up just short in the bronze medal game.

Beyond the results, these athletes created lifelong memories, built friendships from around the world, and proudly wore the Maple Leaf on the international stage. We couldn’t be prouder of how they represented their communities, their families, and their country. Congratulations to all of the players and teammates on an unforgettable experience! 🍁❤️

COUNTDOWN TO THE UNITED WORLD GAMES IS ON🌍

The BHPE Mavericks family and the Calgary ball hockey community are incredibly proud of these athletes as they prepare to leave for the United World Games in Klagenfurt, Austria!

In just a few days, they’ll head to Germany to join teammates from across Canada and begin preparing for competition. The following weekend, they’ll travel to Austria for the United World Games, where they’ll compete against athletes from around the world, build new friendships, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

There is something truly special about earning the opportunity to wear the Maple Leaf, represent your community, and compete internationally while doing something you love. These athletes have worked hard for this opportunity, and we couldn’t be prouder to see them taking part in it.

Good luck to our Mavericks and all of the players representing Team Canada. We’ll be cheering you on from Calgary! 🇨🇦

Registration is now open for the 2nd Annual BHPE Outdoor Open Tournament. The event takes place August 8–9, 2026 in Calgary. This youth outdoor ball hockey tournament includes U11–U18 divisions and welcomes all skill levels.

This is a full team entry only tournament. It is built for teams that want a fun, community-focused weekend of outdoor ball hockey.

Following a great experience last year and strong interest, we have expanded the tournament to a two-day format. This allows more teams and more fun.

The event takes place at the Outdoor Rink at Seven Chiefs Sportsplex & Jim Starlight Centre on Tsuut’ina Nation in Calgary, Alberta.

There is nothing like outdoor ball hockey in the summer. Players enjoy warm weather, fresh air, and a fast-paced game outdoors. The focus is fun, energy, and community.

Tournament Details

☄️5 on 5 outdoor ball hockey format
☄️U11, U13, U15, U18 divisions
☄️Full team entries only
☄️Minimum of 3 teams per division
☄️Each team gets at least 4 games
☄️All skill levels are welcome
☄️Two-day format allows more teams to participate
