Last nite was an epic night of aurora chasing that took me across 12 breathtaking locations, covering 600 kilometers in just 12 hours. Armed with 3 cameras, I exhausted 4 batteries, filled up three 256GB cards and a 128GB card, all capturing the magic of the Northern Lights in some of the most iconic spots within Banff National Park.

From the tranquil waters of Bow Lake and Herbert Lake, to the vibrant skies over Lake Louise, Morant's Curve with its famous train, and Castle Junction, the adventure was non-stop. We witnessed stunning reflections at Vermilion Lakes, the lively auroras over Banff town, the serenity of Lake Minnewanka and Two Jack Lake, before finishing the journey at Cascade Ponds and heading back to Calgary. The auroras put on a show for the ages, and some of the most vibrant and active motion seen, triggered by a massive G4 solar storm. A night for the books, with the auroras lighting up every turn of the adventure!
