The City of Edmonton has released images of a potential pedestrian bridge in the downtown area.
The proposed bridge would be located at McDougall Hill Road and 100 Street, and connect a future MacDonald Drive Promenade to the Funicular Upper Plaza.

All of Alberta now under extreme cold warning | CBC News The entire province of Alberta was placed under a cold weather warning Sunday afternoon, as prolonged frigid temperatures continue to cancel activities and force many indoors.

Just checked with BC government... here is where the road problems are (pretty well, everywhere).
Also heard that Merritt (on Coquihalla) and Princeton (on the #3) are under general evacuation. Stay away from those communities.
