Samaritan’s Purse has airlifted over 145 tons of emergency relief supplies to help the people of Venezuela after two devastating earthquakes. These supplies include solar lights, shelter materials, and blankets.

Our Emergency Field Hospital is also open, providing life-saving medical care for the sick and wounded.

The needs continue to be massive. Today, our team has been loading over 2,100 more rolls of tarp from our Canadian Ministry Center in Calgary. These materials will give shelter to more than 5,300 Venezuelan families and help show them that God has not forgotten them.

Patients are now being treated at our 56-bed field hospital located in La Guaira, Venezuela.

Last week, 2 massive earthquakes brought hundreds of buildings crumbling to the ground and left thousands in desperate need of medical care.

It's about more than bringing aid.

Our disaster response teams bring a listening ear and the news of the God who loves us so much that He came in human form, endured death, and personally felt the gut-wrenching pain of grief.

Jesus doesn't promise to shield us from heartbreak, but He is with us in our suffering.

He can empathize and comfort us in moments like this and promises an eternal life where there are no more tears.

"Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4
