Honouring National Indigenous History Month 🌾

June is National Indigenous History Month — a time to recognize and celebrate the histories, cultures, languages, resilience, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.

We recognize that reconciliation is ongoing work. It asks us to listen, learn, reflect, and build meaningful relationships grounded in respect and understanding.

As we live and grow on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy — Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations — as well as the Tsuut’ina Nation, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, and all people who call Treaty 7 territory home, we remain committed to walking the path of ReconciliACTION with humility, accountability, and care.

This month is an invitation to learn from Indigenous voices, honour the stories and teachings that have shaped this land since time immemorial, and continue building a better shared future together. 💛
