I’ve been quiet. Spent the last 3 months causing myself an epic breakdown which shifted a whole load of stuff that wasn’t working and out of alignment. I was disconnected from why I do what I do, and I almost dropped photography all together!

***This is not a “feel sorry for me” post.***

I’ve been working on REALLY bringing myself into alignment and restoring basic integrity. Things have shifted and I feel more clear than I ever have about why I do what I do and how it serves life.

Over the last few months I’ve been working inside of a shamanic perspective and this is what I have to say about that today………..

Photography is medicine - for you and for me.

It can take courage to be seen, to really show up, to drop any pretence you have. It takes courage to drop expectations of how it’s going to go. It takes trust for both of us to relax and allow what wants to happen. Everything always works out perfectly and sometimes it can feel terrifying to let go and stand in that.

Having your photo taken, to be seen, by me and your audience, is great edge work and it has you know your worth when you’re connected to you really are. What you do is important, who you are is valuable and this (sometimes terrifying) experience of a photoshoot, gives you access to embody that, which is like rocket fuel.

You know what else is great medicine? Fun. That’s standard practice and a top priority as far as I’m concerned.

Be warned…. there are known side effects of my medicinal photoshoots; you might start to be outrageously self expressed, you might experience heightened levels of confidence, your business might sky rocket in unimaginable ways, you might experience a bunch of weird/cool magic and random bursts of psychic abilities. That last one is weirdly, quite a common side effect - if I can’t communicate telepathically to you by the end of the session something’s gone horribly wrong!
