The Road Less Taken

This weekend we had Sun and warm temps, we had snow and freezing drizzle, we had frost, we had wind and we had a storm and saw 🌪️ touch down outside the city. Folks we had it all 😂

Since Friday, Kalea has done 11 hours of soccer, running for 25-30 minutes straight for 6 of them with a 5-minute break between halves. That's 60 minutes x 6 games. Her PE teacher isn't going to allow that as part of her mark, so when she can't do things because she's so done and sore, she gets marked as non-participating.

It stinks because in any given week, she does 6 to 9 hours plus refereeing, which is more than most kids who just do PE and don't do sports. Kid isliterally is one of the toughest kids I know, putting in a lot of physical activity and exercise each week while trying to balance her blood sugars and academics.

Why can't they consider these things for kids instead of archery with rubber arrows or Frisbee or even dribbling a basketball for a class or 5 and playing a game maybe once or twice. If only academics allowed such things... *sigh*
