🚨 PNP IS BASED ON INTENTION — NOT JUST APPROVAL 🚨

I recently came across a story about a PNP nominee who moved out of their nominating province shortly after obtaining PR.

Years later during citizenship processing — their file was scrutinized.
Citizenship was refused.
PR status was eventually revoked.

Let this be very clear:
When you apply through a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), you are declaring your genuine intention to reside in that nominating province.
PNP is not simply a “faster route” to PR.
It is a province-specific pathway based on economic needs.

Yes, permanent residents have mobility rights under the Charter.
However, if immigration authorities determine that there was misrepresentation of intent at the time of application, consequences can follow even years later.

⚠️ What this means: • Do not treat PNP as a backdoor to another province

• Do not move immediately after landing without careful consideration
• Do not assume “everyone is doing it” equals “it is safe”
• Do not rely on social media advice for life-changing decisions
Immigration is evidence-based.
Intent matters.
Documentation matters.

Your long-term status matters.
Before making relocation decisions after PNP approval, seek professional guidance and understand the legal implications.
Your PR is a privilege — protect it.
