We're looking for bass, rhythm guitar, drums and vocals to join our Inspirition Band team for Sunday 5 pm Mass.
Previous experience in a worship or gigging contemporary band setting is a definite asset. Or if you're a budding serious player and want some live performing experience, learning the ropes in a band setting under experienced direction, this is the opportunity you've been looking for. A decent ability to read charts and or sheet music will help your in learning the pieces quickly.
The commitment can be as light or as involved as you can manage, with a minimum of one Sunday per month.
Rehearsals are held on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 pm before the 5 pm Mass.
This is a volunteer position. Our current team is made up of a friendly, dedicated group of instrumentalists and vocalists from all walks of life and ages.
Our performance environment is in a large sanctuary with high quality equipment, including in-ear monitoring, stage lighting, drum shell, grand piano, and dedicated sound and technical engineers. Instrumentalists are required to have their own well-kept and functional gear.
There will be an audition, but don't sweat it. It can be held on a Sunday after the 5 pm Mass. It will consist of attending the Mass on the day of your audition so you can listen to the songs performed and the audition will be reading music from that day. Other arrangements can be made for an audition.
The congregation is very supportive and receptive to the contemporary music styles that we perform, all within the context of Roman Catholic Mass.
