Tonight we journeyed into the whimsical world of Felix Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as conductor and former Calgary Phil Music Director Hans Graf returned to lead the Orchestra. Calgary actor Maureen Thomas brought 12 characters to life with remarkable versatility, and members of the Chorus added a touch of magic as fairies. The evening also featured a stunning performance by rising star Sophia Liu, who captivated with Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto.

A big thanks to our Concert Supporter, the Calgary Phil Board of Directors, for making this concert possible.

Our final performance of the season is Saturday night. A few tickets remain at calgaryphil.com.
