If you're looking for a big, lovable buddy with a heart as big as he is Bert might just be your perfect match!

He is very people oriented and loves to be included in daily life. Happiest when he is lounging nearby, being brushed, chewing toys, playing with our dog or just soaking up belly rubs.

Bert is crate trained and settles quickly when left alone or at bedtime, not making a peep. In fact, he will often on his own just go lie down in his crate.

At around a year old, Bert has already mastered the art of balancing puppy silliness with laid-back charm. Despite his size he's a gentle giant who would much rather nap in his bed, chew on a favourite bone, or quietly entertain himself with a toy (or five!) than bounce off the walls. Not a mean bone in his body, Bert is always relaxed and calm. His energy level is surprisingly low, and he's happiest with a short morning walk, an afternoon stroll, and a little playtime.

Bert is a dream houseguest. He's 100% house trained with no accidents and will politely whine at the door when he needs to go outside. We have trained him to go at a specific place in our back yard.

Bert isn't much of a barker at all even when our other dog is making a fuss. He is quiet in the house and outside in our yard

Bert is smart and very food motivated making him easy to train . He knows: no, uh uh, sit, lay down, wait, up, off and bedtime.

Whether he's lounging in his bed, enjoying a tasty treat, or soaking up affection from his favourite humans, Bert’s goal in life is simple: be close to his people and enjoy all the love they have to offer and he would love a playmate if you already have a dog.
