In Loving Memory of Damilola Khalid Afolabi 🕊️

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Damilola Khalid Afolabi, who left us far too soon.
Tragically, Damilola passed away after drowning at the Mahogany Lake.

Damilola and his family had recently moved to Canada at the end of March, seeking new opportunities and a brighter future. Eager to make friends and embrace life, he brought joy to everyone he met.

Damilola will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. During this difficult time, we want to extend our support to his family, who are facing immense challenges.

Last week, I had the opportunity to meet with Ward 12 Councillor Mike Jamieson to discuss how we can work together to better serve our shared constituents in Calgary‑South East.

Ensuring site readiness is essential to continued school construction, and I look forward to collaborating with Councillor Jamieson and his team to move more projects forward.
