We’re seeing new drug combinations in Calgary that are contributing toward an increased overdose risk. The addition of the benzodiazepine to counterfeit Xanax and Fentanyl makes the drug incredibly resistant to Naloxone.

Drug trends shift quickly and unpredictably and we maintain that no street drugs are safe. We also recognize that we remain within an opioid health crisis and we are seeking to reduce harm in any way we can.
