In September, Alchemy had the exciting opportunity to participate in ‘Hack the House,’ a sustainable design challenge where teams of young people were tasked with ‘hacking’ a piece of used household furniture and transforming it into a sustainably powered rideable machine!

Alchemy partnered with Imperial Oil to amplify their community investments, and produced a video highlighting the incredible talent, skill, and passion displayed by these youth during the final challenge, where they navigate an obstacle course showcasing their creations. As an industry leader in innovation and technology, Imperial took pride in judging the projects, engaging in conversations with the young participants, and inspiring young creative minds to envision themselves as integral to the future of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics).

What a summer it’s been—full of incredible moments, adventures, and a little bit of everything in between! Here’s a look back at some of the standout memories:

1️⃣ Akina Kennedy sang O’Canada in Cree at the Tradewinds Graduation on behalf of Imperial—an unforgettable and deeply meaningful moment. 🪶🇨🇦
2️⃣ Celebrating Gordon Hoffman’s incredible achievements as he was inducted into the Honorary Doctorate of Laws at the University of Calgary. 🎓
3️⃣ Wild horses in the snow… in June. Because Alberta weather always keeps us on our toes! 🐴❄️
4️⃣ A little less wild, but definitely layered up—Kathryn wearing every piece of clothing she owns! 🧥🧣
5️⃣ Road tripping to Texas with a stop at Mount Rushmore…not as big as you’d think! 🤔🗿
6️⃣ Fixing fences on the farm—because this job is never complete. 🛠️🐎
7️⃣ Speaking at the Federation of PEI Municipalities—Stompin’ Tom was right, the dirt is red and the potatoes are delicious! 🥔🍁
8️⃣ Celebrating 60 years with the Federation of Alberta Gas Coops! 🎉
9️⃣ Witnessing the East Tower of WinSport being torn down to make way for the new Day Lodge! 🏗️
1️⃣0️⃣ Announcing the $87.5 Million expansion of the MNP Sports and Community Centre with Minister Schow and Councillors Carra, Wolcott, and Penner. Big things ahead! 🏊‍♂️
