So.. my friend made this beautiful drawing of Terrence McKenna. I asked him if I could trade for it with this painting I made of Erik ages ago.. maybe 2011. Took a look at it again tonight. God damn, I really crushed it. So painterly. The presence of his back against the light on his lower back and Erik behind him again. The lines of the couch, the light on the chair. Just the lamp.. sometimes I would really prefer to keep my paintings for myself. 🙄😆😝
Anyway, you are going to a better place. And, you’ll be loved, but I’ll miss you.

This is super fun. My client is a very thorough and deliberate craftsman. Runs a team of oil guys in Alberta. So he’s really enjoying learning about the nuts and bolts of constructing a surface for a painting. Thrilled to learn about it actually
