Some Rock and Roll Hall of Fame facts: Only 69 of the 888 inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are women — that’s just 7.7% over 35 years. For women of colour, the numbers are even bleaker. And six ceremonies historically included no women at all.

28 individuals were inducted twice or more. Of those, only three are women — Carole King, Stevie Nicks, and Tina Turner.

For 2026, there are 17 nominations, and only six are women: Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, P!NK, Shakira, Sade, and Mariah Carey.
