Kochia may be best known as the “tumblew**d,” but once it matures, it can spread seed over long distances and become much harder to control.

Early action matters. Rocky View County is encouraging landowners to watch for kochia and manage it early, especially in disturbed areas like fence lines, driveways, shelterbelts, and road edges.

Moooooove over for cattle drives.

When you see livestock on a public road, slow down, pull over safely, and wait for them to pass. If a rider signals you to move ahead, move forward slowly and steadily. Thank you for helping protect ranchers, livestock, and everyone on the road.
