LIVING IN THE PAST?
 
It’s quite natural for us to think about the past and judge ourselves.
“Am so horrible because I did…” “Am stupid because I stayed in that toxic relationship for that long”
“Am bad because I made this or that mistake” are some of the thoughts we bully ourselves with.
 
What if we recognized those mistakes just is…and look back at them as lessons rather than self judgement and self-inflicted life sentences?
 
I have learned that life has a way of teaching us lessons and those lessons come when we make mistakes. We can either ignore those lessons or learn how to be better now and in the future with them.
 
Didn’t spend “enough” time with a loved one in the past? It doesn’t make you horrible. Good you recognize it now. Go do some things and improve it going forward.
 
Stayed in a toxic relationship…or three…for too long. That doesn’t make you stupid. Now that you recognize it start looking at how you choose.
 
The rear view mirror is smaller than the windscreen on your car for a reason. It’s used to check where you’re coming from and to switch lanes. The windscreen is to look forward along that journey.

DO YOU SETTLE FOR SHORT TERM COMFORT?
 
We often go for instant gratification a.k.a. short-term comfort and sacrifice long term gains.
 
The moment we realise things are getting tough we cave and run towards comfort; we hide in that comfort zone. It’s human nature after all. It’s what society teaches. Be cozy. Be comfy.
 
But we gotta realise that all the things we want is out of our comfort zone.
Just do one more. Push a little bit harder. Tolerate a bit more discomfort.
 
Step out of that comfort zone and achieve what’s out there for us. LET’S DO IT!!!
