🧥💙 Blue Jean Jacket Day 🧥💙Honouring Indigenous Men & Boys 🧥💙
Today we honour Blue Jean Jacket Day, a grassroots movement calling attention to missing, murdered, and exploited Indigenous men and boys.
Too often, their stories are overlooked. Too often, their families carry their grief without the visibility and support they deserve. Today, we wear or hang our denim jackets to say: we see you, we remember you, and we will not stay silent.
Started in Edmonton in 2023 by advocates Stephanie Harpe and April Eve, this day stands as a powerful counterpart to Red Dress Day — reminding us that safety, justice, and healing must include all our relatives.
Indigenous men and boys continue to face violence, exploitation, trafficking, and systemic barriers. Honouring them means committing to change, uplifting families, and creating communities rooted in care, accountability, and respect.
🪶 We remember those taken.
We stand with those still searching.
We walk with those healing.
