Shory Law
If you or someone in your family has received a letter from IRCC or CBSA, please do not ignore it.
These letters have deadlines, and what you do in the first few weeks usually matters more than people realize.
There are often more options than the letter may make it sound. The right one depends on your situation and what the letter actually says.

Recently, our founder Devinder Shory, KC formally received his King's Counsel designation. For our firm, and everyone who has been part of this journey, we are grateful.
A special thank you to Raj Sharma, KC, who kindly shared his own King's Counsel robes for the ceremony. It is one of the most generous gestures our profession offers, and one that speaks to the best of what this profession can be.
None of this would have been possible without the family who built a life alongside him. His wife beside him, his children watching, and his grandson in his arms.
Mr. Shory restarted his career in law at forty, studying for the bar while raising three children with his wife. The road from that to this ceremony has been a long one, and not one he walked alone.
A designation like this carries one name, but it is built by many.
To the clients who trusted Shory Law LLP with the cases that mattered most to them, to the colleagues and mentors who shaped him along the way, to the staff past and present who have given so much to this firm, and to the family who made all of it possible, this milestone is yours as much as it is his.
We are honoured to have walked this road alongside you.

We had the honour of welcoming Mohamed F. Khimji, Dean of the Faculty of Law at , to our office. A full-circle moment for Chetan, a proud alum with a JD and HBA from the university.
Great conversation on legal education, the future of the profession, and the journey from law school to practice. Thanks for stopping by, Dean Khimji.

Alberta's next chapter of growth will be written by those who learn to think without borders.
That was the through-line of Borderless Growth, a workshop co-led by Jatin at Economic Developers Alberta's Xperience 2026. They translated complex immigration policy, foreign direct investment, and talent mobility trends into practical strategies communities can apply today.
Jatin had the privilege of sharing the stage alongside leaders from the Ministry of Jobs, Economy, Trade & Immigration, the Business Council of Alberta, and the County of Grande Prairie, with Alberta's Industrial Heartland as session partner.
We are grateful to EDA for the platform, and to every economic developer in the room shaping what comes next for our incredible province!
