Congratulations to my Moonbeams 3 class! This is the last course in the Music for Young Children (MYC). Some of our students began their MYC journey in Sunrise when they were only 3 and 4 years old. Now they are 8 and 9! Time flies! They all completed their Royal Conservatory of Music Level 1 piano exam this past June and they all did so amazing! I'm so proud of them. Thanks to the parents as well! They were just as silly and fun as the kids! I will miss this class! Good luck in your music studies next year!

Since opening up another location, we needed more acoustic pianos and I was gifted one. I was very thankful but the piano wouldn't stay in tuned and some of the keys stopped working altogether. What I've learned from the experience is that free pianos may not be good pianos (it was my first time accepting a free piano because I was feeling desperate from all the construction and business costs).

For all used pianos, you should always hire a piano technician to check out the piano with you. If it's a good piano you'll still need to pay for the move and the tunings. To keep the piano in top notch shape you must tune your piano regularly. It's worth it to find a good piano that's been tuned regularly otherwise you will have to spend the money tuning it constantly. Remember that "free" pianos don't mean that you don't need to pay for anything else. There are extra costs to consider.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there, especially to the father of my children, my loving husband and my partner in life! I don't post him often (because he's not musical) HOWEVER, my son Eli taught him how to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in just a few minutes! And they surprised me! This was my first time hearing it. I laughed so hard seeing a grown man use a child size violin! But he's already better than me on the violin (cuz I can't play a single note). 😂 Maybe he's musical afterall (what do you think, Mr ?
