62% of Canadians do not yet have a Will. If you pass away without a Will then the Intestacy provisions will apply to determine who will get what and who will be appointed to manage the estate.

If you don't like that idea then it is essential that you have a Will. Even if you are fine with the way that Intestacy will apply to your estate, if you have minor children you should still execute a Will so that you can make clear who you would like to act as their Guardians and Trustees rather than have a Court decide on your behalf.
