New Afghan Special Program Just Announced for Afghan Refugees.

Starting October 17, 2022 until next year October 17, 2023 Afghan refugees are not required to have refugee certificates from the UNHCR or a foreign state. This is very good news for refugees. This means as long as an Afghan refugee can get out of Afghanistan and take refuge in another country for example, Pakistan, India, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, etc, then a refugee certificate is not required by Immigration Canada, unlike before. However, all other conditions apply as before for the definition of who is a refugee and the requirements for the group of five sponsors.
