Not Another Eye Store

🛠️ Transformation Tuesday 🛠️ This well-loved Tom Ford frame came to us looking tired, dry, and oxidized. A little time, a lot of elbow grease, some new nose pads and a proper professional polish later... It's back to looking like itself again.
Sometimes a frame doesn't need replacing—it just needs someone who knows how to bring it back to life. ❤️

⚠️ MYTH MONDAY ⚠️ Busting vision and optical myths one week at a time!
FACT OR MYTH: Kids only need an eye exam if they complain their vision is blurry.
‼️ MYTH ‼️ Many children don’t realize their vision isn’t normal because they’ve always seen that way. Vision problems can show up as headaches, poor focus, avoiding reading, or struggles at school — not just blurry vision.
In fact, studies show children with learning difficulties and special needs have a much higher rate of undiagnosed vision problems, with nearly 46% found to have a correctable refractive error.
Children should get their first eye exam at 6 months of age. Follow-up exams are recommended annually or semi-annually at the discretion of their optometrist. Eye exams for children are also a benefit (either fully or partially covered) of Alberta Health.
