What does a company that has been around for 45 years of change have to say about future proofing your business? Naseem Bashir, Executive Chair at Williams Engineering Canada Inc offers his insights into the risk involved in investing in technology to avoid losing to competition as the business landscape evolves.

Here is what he had to say:

👉 Communication challenges between directors and management: Directors often don't understand technology, and how its going to work. Additionally, trusting management teams to deploy new technologies is always a question. How do we bridge this gap?
👉 Organizations are built into silos, and designed to resist change. We need to be able to identify these challenges in our business to be able to successful and efficiently integrate technological solutions into our businesses.
👉 Risk tolerance is very different depending on your culture. Currently, Americans are better at change than we are in Canada. We need to be able to build flexible organizations.
