It was hundreds of people, opportunities, and moments that slowly added up over time.

Calgary helped grow OG Ghee by...

• Being the first city to give us a chance.

• Introducing us to our very first customers at local farmers’ markets.

• Welcoming us into local grocery stores and giving us a spot on the shelf.

• Supporting us through programs like the Trade Accelerator Program with Calgary Economic Development, which challenged us to think bigger and gave us the tools to keep growing. We had introductions to mentors in the industry to provide us with export advice and many more network connections.

• Surrounding us with an incredible community of entrepreneurs who have been generous with their time, advice, introductions, and encouragement.

• Giving us opportunities to pop hundreds of bags of popcorn at community events and meet so many amazing people along the way.

• Welcoming OG Ghee into some of Calgary’s favourite restaurants. Knowing our ghee is in the kitchens at Francine’s, National, Major Tom, K**a, and Saffron Street still feels pretty surreal.

• Showing up—whether that meant stopping by our booth, trying a sample, sharing a recipe, recommending us to a friend, or simply following along online.

Looking back, it’s amazing how much of our journey happened right here in Calgary. This city has been our test kitchen, our classroom, and the place where a simple idea became a real business.

Calgary bet on us long before most people knew who we were. We’ll never stop being grateful for that, and we’ll always try to pay that support forward. We want to make it known that we have an open door to anyone that thinks we may be able to support them in their own endeavours. :)
