🐾 A busy week of veterinary care for our Cats Home Foundation kitties! 💗

This week, several cats and kittens in our care have been in for exams, surgeries, vaccinations, post-surgery rechecks, and follow-up appointments with our veterinary partners at

While these visits may not always be the most exciting part of rescue, they are some of the most important. Regular veterinary care helps ensure our cats are healthy, comfortable, and ready for the next chapter of their lives.

Every appointment, treatment, and recheck is only possible because of the incredible support we receive from our community. Whether you foster, volunteer, donate, share our posts, or cheer on our cats from afar, you are helping make this care possible. 🥰

❤️✈️ PERCY’S JOURNEY HOME ✈️❤️

After nearly two years and a journey spanning Canada, our beloved long-term foster Percy has finally found his forever home in Ontario. ❤️

It’s hard to believe that the confident, goofy boy who recently boarded a flight to go home with his forever family is the same tiny kitten who arrived in our care at just one week old, weighing only 110 grams.

Critically ill with pneumonia, Percy required tube feeding, intensive neonatal care, and around-the-clock support just to survive.

But Percy had a fighting spirit.

Day by day, he grew stronger, transforming into the affectionate, food-loving boy everyone fell in love with. Whether he was investigating snacks or greeting visitors like old friends, Percy never met a stranger.

Living with chronic respiratory disease meant finding the right forever home could take a little longer. As it turns out, that family was over 3,000 kilometres away but love knows no boundaries.

When his adopter learned about his story, they fell in love with his gentle spirit and knew he belonged with them. Percy flew from Alberta to Montreal before continuing on to Ontario, where he has settled into his new life with his forever family. ❤️

From a 110-gram orphaned kitten fighting for his life to a cherished family member embarking on a cross-Canada adventure, Percy’s story is one we’ll never forget.
