When I started on the Permaculture journey, the first thing I did was to learn all about it. I am grateful to have taken Permaculture Design Course with Verge Permaculture. Here is the link to access the final presentation that talks about making a systemic change to the house by considering various factors including path of the sun all through the year to maximize the growing season (considering Calgary only has less than 100 permafrost free days), noise and wildlife around the neighborhood, water inflow and outflow (to capture whatever falls as rain) and so forth. Some of these have already been installed in our urban house and I will start sharing them over the next few weeks/months.
