It’s important to assess the whole body, not just the problematic area!
The work I do involves finding where the body can’t generate control and then improving control to increase strength and range of motion. Training muscles to contract more efficiently when moving limbs opens up range of motion. Passive treatment (meaning it is being done to you) will allow for temporary relaxation and possibly open range. Usually it just resets and tightens up again. I use specific exercises and types of contractions to help the improvements hold.
