➗ MATH TIP: Stuck on a Word Problem?
Word problems can feel overwhelming, but breaking them into smaller steps can make them much easier to solve.
One strategy many successful students use is the CUBES method:
🔹 Circle important numbers
🔹 Underline the question
🔹 Box key words
🔹 Eliminate unnecessary information
🔹 Solve
Instead of rushing straight to the answer, take time to understand what the problem is asking.
When students learn how to organize information, they become more confident problem-solvers and make fewer mistakes.
Remember, math is not just about numbers. It's about understanding.

📚 Language Arts Tip: The Power of Rereading
Many students read a passage once and immediately move on to the questions.
Strong readers often do something different.
They go back and read important sections a second time.
That second read can help students:
✅ Notice details they missed the first time
✅ Better understand the author's message
✅ Answer questions more accurately
Reading is not about finishing quickly. It's about understanding what you read.
If your child is struggling with reading comprehension, encourage them to slow down and reread before looking for help. Often, the clues are already in the passage.
At LearnEasy Academy, we help students develop stronger reading, writing, and comprehension skills through personalized online tutoring.

➗ MATH TIP: Estimate Before You Calculate!
One of the smartest habits mathematicians use is estimating first. 💡
Before solving a problem, make a quick prediction of what the answer should be.
Example:
49 × 21
Estimate:
50 × 20 = 1,000
Actual Answer:
49 × 21 = 1,029
Since 1,029 is close to 1,000, you know your answer makes sense! ✅
Why does estimating help?
✔️ Catches mistakes before they become habits
✔️ Improves number sense
✔️ Builds confidence in problem-solving
✔️ Helps students check if their answers are reasonable
At LearnEasy Academy, we teach students not just how to get the answer, but how to think like mathematicians.
👇 Challenge:
Can your child think of another math problem where estimating would help?
