It is crucial to recognize that if your dryer is heating but failing to dry clothes efficiently or taking an excessive amount of time to do so, it is likely experiencing restricted venting. This issue is typically caused by a clogged dryer duct that has not been cleaned in a long time, resulting in lint buildup. However, more often than not, the problem can be attributed to kinked or crushed dryer vent hoses. To resolve this, ensure the vent hose attached to the back of the dryer and the wall ducting remains rounded and is not pinched. Leaving adequate space between the dryer and the wall is essential to prevent the vent hoses from becoming crushed or kinked.
