Can we get a 🙌🏼 for those patients who keep going?!

I despise the phrase “you don’t want to get better.”

When you work with people who have chronic illness, it comes up a lot 😒 Other doctors brush off a patient by saying they don’t want to get better if they can’t figure out how to help them.

Sometimes, the patient hasn’t met the right members of their medical team yet.

And sometimes, the patient is grappling with fear and/or unworthiness. A fear of the responsibility that comes with health. A fear of the responsibility that comes with living more fully. A fear of what comes with co-creating their life during and after recovery. Feeling unworthy of a better quality of life. Feeling unworthy of experiencing a vibrant life.

Who are we to live fully?

Didn’t this trauma/accident/sickness take everything away from me?

Short answer ~ no. It didn’t.
And yes, you deserve to heal.

It may sound odd; but we all deal with some form of this unworthiness, even if we aren’t sick, injured or suffering.

This is Dr. Ryan Lawrence (), chiropractor extraordinaire! Dr. Ryan has already had quite an epic experience in the chiropractic world. From serving veterans at the Lee County Veteran Affairs clinic in Florida to working in a multi-disciplinary clinic that utilized in Tennessee, he has learned how to address chronic issues with a lot of different tools and modalities. He fell in love with the functional neurological approach so you'll see him supporting Dr. Rachel's patients, with the goal of being another provider in offering the same unique approach to care!

In the meantime, Dr. Ryan is also available for general chiropractic services for patients with conditions that don't require a functional neurology work up ~ think that annoying low back pain or sprained ankle that need a little TLC.
