IRCC Parents & Grandparents Program 2025

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has confirmed that the PGP 2025 intake will open on July 28, 2025, with up to 17,860 invitations being sent out over approximately two weeks, aiming to receive and process 10,000 completed sponsorship applications.

Who's invited?

The individuals who submitted an Interest to Sponsor form in 2020 will be considered. IRCC is
not accepting new forms at this time. Invitations will be randomly selected from that existing pool.

Next steps for invitees:

1.Keep an eye on your email inbox (and spam folders) from July 28 to mid-August.

2. If selected, prepare and compile your documents and information.

3. Submit your complete application within 60 days.
