“How do I ask my doctor to test my eye for an STI?”

Like this:

“Can my eye be tested too?”

Or:

“I’ve had eye symptoms and I’m wondering if STI testing is appropriate.”

Or simply:

“I’d like STI testing. Are there any other areas that should be tested?”

That’s it!

Your healthcare provider’s job is not to judge your lifestyle. Their job is to help protect your health.

STI testing isn’t always limited to the ge****ls. Depending on symptoms and exposure, testing may include:

✓ Eyes
✓ Throat
✓ Re**um
✓ Ge****ls

The more information you share about your symptoms and exposure, the better your healthcare provider can determine what testing is appropriate.

Let’s normalize these conversations.
No embarrassment.
No shame.
No awkwardness.

Just healthcare.

Have you ever had to ask for STI testing in a way that felt uncomfortable?

What do you wish someone had told you before your first STI test?

👇 Share your experience below. You never know who it might help.

and remember, you can self refer to see our doctors at MAUD 🫶

For decades, gay liberation and women’s liberation were deeply interconnected. Different experiences. Shared humanity.

Because equality isn’t a privilege for some.
It’s a right for everyone.❤️

Trying to share the Big news in women’s health on

PCOS is being renamed to PMOS: Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome.

Why does this matter?

For years, many patients and clinicians felt the name “polycystic ovarian syndrome” did not fully reflect what this condition actually is. PCOS is not just about ovarian cysts. It can affect:

• hormones• metabolism• insulin resistance• skin and hair• fertility• weight regulation• mental health• cardiovascular health

The updated name aims to better reflect the full-body impact of this complex condition and reduce confusion for patients who may not even have ovarian cysts at all.

This change follows more than a decade of discussion among researchers, clinicians, and patient advocates advocating for more accurate representation and understanding of the condition.

Women’s health continues to evolve, and language matters. Accurate naming helps improve awareness, education, research, and patient care.

Pain-free IUD is possible. Just breathe🧘

We hear it all the time…
“I’ve heard it’s really painful.”

And for many people, that fear is what delays getting an IUD, even when it’s the right option.

At MAUD, we do things differently.
We offer pain management options including para cervical block, topical anesthetics, oral medications, and Penthrox to help make the experience more comfortable and supported.

IUD insertion isn’t something you should have to just push through.

If you’ve been thinking about it but haven’t booked yet, this is your sign 🤍
