Hello beautiful humans! Long time since I posted - A LOT of changes in my world the last year! My TLDR version is my partner and I found out we were expecting 🤰 end up with some medical issues during the pregnancy which prevented me from my regular fitness routine and had to decrease my activity to only light walks. (HUGE transition for myself since prior to the pregnancy I was intensely active everyday) Thankfully, those issues have resolved and we welcomed a charming little dude into the world in June.
Now that I'm 5 months I feel ready to begin my journey back to strong and active! I plan to document my journey for you guys to see my version of getting back to fitness after baby.
Today was - it is definitely different from what I'm accustomed to. It included 15 minute full body body weight and 15 minute postpartum core and it felt awesome to move again. Performed on baby R's play mat, in Grinch PJ bottoms, with the dog and baby vying for attention AND I got it done!
The only excuse we have is ourselves 💜
We've been working really hard on something new and exciting! Can't wait to share it!!

Well I made in to Southpaw Boxing Gym even though my existence said find a hole and stay there instead. 🤦🏼♀️
I know that I will feel better after I get there and get the blood flowing but somedays are just harder than others to do things.
It's often just the lack of motivation to get moving that's the biggest obstacle rather than the activity itself.
My favourite thing to do with both myself and clients on those low motivation days is to challenge myself to either try something new or just out lift my previous best 💪
Find yourself a gym that welcomes you everytime you walk in the door, a gym that's more like a big strong family than an impersonal space! Find yourself a trainer (like me!) Who looks after both your physical health AND your mental health!!
